The core of the church dates back to the second half of the 13th century. It is a fieldstone church with a nave and a recessed rectangular chancel to the east. During a comprehensive renovation in 1860, the western square brick tower and the gables with their stepped gables were added. The chancel also received a rose window. In 2003, the severely endangered structure was secured. The neo-Gothic interior furnishings also date from 1860. These include an organ built in 1823 by Johann Simon Buchholz for the village church of Seelübbe and donated to the Weselitz parish in 1902. At the southeast corner of the nave, in the third row from the bottom, is a granite stone with a checkerboard pattern.

The Protestant village church Bertikow is an early Gothic hall church in the Bertikow district of Uckerfelde in the Uckermark district in Brandenburg. It belongs to the Prenzlau parish in the Uckermark parish of the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia. The sophisticated hall church made of field stone masonry with a wider west tower from the second half of the 13th century is visible from afar in the walled cemetery at the southeastern end of the village green.
