The Heinrich Schliemann Terrace in Schwerin offers one of the most beautiful views over the Pfaffenteich lake and the surrounding city center. The half-timbered house at Buschstraße 15, also known as the Zettler House, is one of the most beautiful and oldest preserved buildings in Schwerin's old town. Built in the 17th century, it continues to impress visitors with its artfully decorated half-timbered facade, carved beam ends, and traditional inscriptions. The house exemplifies the historical building style of that era and offers a vivid glimpse into Schwerin's former cityscape. For many decades, the Zettler woodturning workshop has been located in the building, its name inextricably linked to the house. The workshop carries on the local craft tradition, making the building a vibrant center of arts and crafts. Visitors can not only admire the exquisite woodwork but also experience the unique atmosphere of this historic house.

The historic power station on Schwerin's Pfaffenteich lake is a significant technical monument and a piece of the city's history. Built at the end of the 19th century, it began operating in 1904 – at a time when electrification in Germany was just beginning. The building, whose facade is designed in the Brick Expressionist style, supplied electricity to the city of Schwerin and was one of the most modern structures of its time. The power station's architectural design is particularly striking: red bricks, large arched windows, and ornate details give the building an almost industrial-romantic character. Today, the building is a listed historical monument and is no longer used for electricity generation. Instead, it houses cultural and gastronomic establishments and is a popular venue for events. The historic power station on Pfaffenteich lake impressively combines technological history, architecture, and modern urban life – a symbol of Schwerin's transformation from an industrial center to a vibrant cultural city.
