A highlight for children to play with

The bridge was built between 1855 and 1875; after being destroyed in World War II, it was rebuilt between 1946 and 1953. It has a total length of 217 meters. The bridge has six river piers and two abutments. The foundations of piers 1, 2, and 4–6 were built in 1855. In 1953, the foundation of pier 3 was rebuilt. In the 1990s, it was inspected and repaired several times. The approaches from the Saar line and the Upper Moselle line, as well as the connection to Trier-Zewen, were originally double-tracked. When one track was removed in the early 1990s, the bridge was used for a cycle path.

A really nice and small train station.

The market square is the center of the city. On Saturdays, a fruit and vegetable market takes place on the market square. The large fountain made of polished granite is striking, with its lively water movement varying in many forms. The fountain functions as a water feature and invites you to cool off on sunny days. The lively play of water should dominate both visually and with the help of light and acoustics, i.e. water movements in many forms as nature creates and shapes them. The accessible fountain functions as a water feature. The town hall dominates the square. In May 2008, the Constantine foot was positioned on the market square between the 3.50 meter high columns that have adorned the market square next to the fountain since the early 1990s. The Constantine foot is a replica and was made for the Constantine exhibition in Trier in 2007.

The first steps towards preserving a technical monument on the Konz Schiller Bridge began in August 2014 with preparations for dismantling the 78-year-old Class 64 tender locomotive. In February 2015, the Konz industrial monument (pictures attached) was dismantled into three parts - the driver's cab, boiler and chassis. The parts were transported from the locomotive's previous location at the Lichtsmühle to the Deutsche Bahn bridge construction warehouse, where it was then lovingly restored by members of the association. The driver's cab was completely replaced.

Konz train station (popularly known as Konz main station) is the second train station in the city of Konz. It is located on the Saar line, and all regional trains from or to Saarbrücken stop here.
