This excellent gravel path is also ideal for novice cyclists. A cycling route around the lake, using these paths, even starts at the visitor center. We rode along this path ourselves with our gravel bikes during a few days of bikepacking around the Cairngorms. After the many technical trails in the area, this was a wonderful path to cycle effortlessly.

I've enjoyed open-water swimming here and have personally never seen a leech.

Loch Morlich (Scottish Gaelic, Loch Mhùrlaig) is a freshwater loch in the Badenoch and Strathspey area of Highland, Scotland, near Aviemore. The loch is home to a water sports centre with kayaking, sailing and windsurfing among the activities available. There is also a yacht club and cycle routes around the loch. The loch lies at the foot of the Cairngorm mountains, just a few miles from Aviemore.
