Cistercians built the previous church as early as 1215, and construction of the current church began at the beginning of the 15th century. The bell is from 1482. In 1862 the building was given a neo-Gothic touch by installing new windows. A special feature is the carved altar, also from the 15th century, which probably comes from Wittenberg. The old gravestones on the outer wall are also worth seeing. The richly decorated plate of the paper maker from the Schlalacher water mill is striking.
