I was actually "lucky" at the beginning of October :) there was still a nice handful to be found.

From the Eggeberg you have a beautiful view over the valley to the actual Eggegebirge ridge with the Velmerstot. The backdrop is also dominated by a few wind turbines, but this doesn't really bother you and doesn't detract from the fascinating view of the Eggegebirge.
