Small lake in a magical and bucolic landscape. You can go around it, and push further to face the surrounding peaks!

Beautiful viewpoint at the highest point of the mountain. During the walk there you will not encounter any water fountains. It is important to bring enough water with you. There is a restaurant on the mountain if necessary.

Saint-Saphorin is a charming little village located on the shores of Lake Geneva, in the Lavaux in Switzerland. The architecture of the center is quite picturesque, with stone vaults and houses with colorful facades. The best is to stop at the poplar square and observe the buildings around you. The village is known for its terraced vineyards, which produce some of the best wines in the region, made from Chasselas, the national grape.

Very popular summit as it is easily accessible via the funicular to Plan-Francey and from there by cable car to Moléson. From the mountain station, the summit is only about 200m away with a good 30 meters in altitude. Most of the time there are many people on the mountain. A little further away from the mountain station you have peace and quiet again.

Magnificent views of the Alps and the Lake Geneva basin. You can access the summit tower to benefit from a clear panorama for 5 CHF.

We took the funicular and cable car to the top, and you are greater with an amazing view. It is an easy climb to the top of Le Moleson, and well worth the detour. The first part of the hike down is steep, with some loose rubble,. The route does get easier and then you are treated to lovely fresh smells whilst walking through the trees and the flowers are colourful.

The view from the top of the Moléson on a clear day is truly incredible. You can admire the Gruyère Pre-Alps, the Vaudois, Savoyard and Bernese Alps. Among the emblematic summits, the Becca d'Audon or Oldenhorn, the Diablerets, the Dent de Morcles, the Tour d'Aï and the Tour des Mayens, the Dents du Midi... In addition, the restaurant is very well run with an efficient and motivated staff, but sometimes a little stressed (and that's normal!) in the face of the crowds.
