Quiet, chilled out place, ideal for a short rest.

Alter Schwede is a large boulder near Övelgönne in Hamburg and a nationally important geotope. The protected natural monument is the oldest large boulder in Germany and has a circumference of 19.7 m, a height of 4.5 m and a weight of 217 t. (Source: Wikipedia)

I'm there several times a week and can always look forward to this beautiful hiking, riding and cycling area. Meadows, fields, the moor and the forest alternate, there is something for everyone depending on their mood. Just great.

You can relax here in summer. Water lilies are blooming on the pond and the frogs are croaking. A pavilion stands on the edge and invites you to take a break. In winter the frozen pond is good for ice skating.

The Butterbargsmoor nature reserve is a habitat for rare plants and animals. A very beautiful moor with a lake. You can relax wonderfully here.

On one side of the way you can see the Holmer Sandberge, the largest inland dune area in Schleswig-Holstein, and on the other side a beautiful lake, which only turns out to be a fire-fighting pond on closer inspection. It's the perfect place for a little break. You will find cozy places everywhere to linger or for a small picnic.
