Beautiful forest, but difficult to ride with a normal bike.

We exchange ideas with hikers coming towards us. Shortly afterwards, a wooden plank walkway over the moor awaits us. It has been restored by returning water. What awaits us is remarkable. Now in the sun, we walk over the moor, beautiful and rustic. With information about various moor plants, we try to discover them all. Due to the time of year, not all of them can be seen or are in bloom. The plank walkway leads across and through an absolute natural paradise. Pigs roam around the lake. It doesn't get much more animal-friendly than that.

The house was built in 1890 as a hunting lodge for the Grand Duke of Strelitz in the neo-renaissance style. The old manor house next to it is a simple 11-axle building over two floors. The facade of the hunting lodge is richly structured and changes from red clinker to sandstone. The hunting theme can be found in the house's decor. Inside, parts of the wall paneling have been preserved. Also noteworthy is the fantastic lakeside location on the Lieps. The view is fantastic

The Schweinsgartensee got its name because the surrounding forests were once used to fatten pigs. An information board provides interesting information about the lake. There is also a large seating area set up on the well-developed hiking trail that leads past, which offers a great view of the lake.
