Today's hut, with a wonderful view of Bärenbach, was originally designed by the Bärenbach Volunteer Fire Department as a sales stand at the 1992 District Home Day in Kirn. It was then installed as a shelter at its current location and is now integrated into the “Bear Route” vitality tour.
