The Laghetto d'Orbello is located in the territory of the Ticino municipality of Arbedo-Castione. The actual climb begins near Soazza (500m.) And lasts for 25 km with a vertical drop of 1,500 meters and an average gradient of 6%. The final stretch is dotted with lovely small ponds and glacial streaks and ends with the magnificent Moesola mountain lake. Just before the steep descent to Hinterrhein there is the Hospiz St. Bernhardin (today a Gasthaus).
