The Laghetto d'Orbello is located in the territory of the Ticino municipality of Arbedo-Castione. The lake is located outside the village in the small Arbedo valley at an altitude of 726 meters above sea level. Surrounded by trees, the small lake is hidden in a forest. The length of the lake is just under 500m with a width of about 100m. The Traversagna creek is both inlet and outlet of the Laghetto d'Orbello.
