Originally established in 1912 for natural history classes at Hof schools, the Botanical Garden is part of the Theresienstein (Theresienstein) complex. The garden is divided into two large areas: the geometrically designed Rosarium with its medicinal plant area, and the more landscaped area with its alpine garden, water lily pond, shade area, and extensive areas of magnificent perennials. The tranquility and floral splendor of the Botanical Garden is available to all visitors free of charge.

In the Wojaleite, both Scandinavian plants such as the Greenland saxifrage as well as plants from the Mediterranean region such as the peony carnation and the serpentenite stripe fern, which is almost extinct worldwide, grow in natural proximity. Rare phenomenon that attracts botanists from all over the world.

Some small attractions you have to look for specifically, some are little known even among locals. One of these is the Wojaleite in the Hof district, a steep slope with pine trees and very rare plants.
