The Weidmoos nature reserve is the habitat of hundreds of birds. There is a one and a half kilometer long themed trail through the area - but you should leave your bike behind and walk the route. Approximately 1 km after the roundabout at Hurtöst in the direction of Waging, an inconspicuous forest path branches off from the road to the left. This path is marked with a "pay attention to the right of way" sign, atypical for a forest path. Then it goes about 1 km into the forest until you see a sign to the right "Bitterstein".
