perfect trail for people who want to learn trail riding

Coming from the Schlossberg, it is possible to join the Jägerweg, which leads from here in both directions for kilometres as a mostly flat, very beautiful hiking trail through the Schönbuch Nature Park.

Simply immerse yourself in the forest and enjoy nature. Especially in summer temperatures, the trail is beautifully shady and sheltered.

Even with lots of autumn leaves and wet conditions, it's still a good ride. Hopefully no one will complain about the narrow forest path.

Who would have thought that a legal trail would be opened here that has been used for years by MTB enthusiasts for a fast descent. Good work, Schönbuch Nature Park, keep it up and redesign and legalize the entire Jägerweg to be bicycle-friendly at some point :) I would even be willing to donate to the renovation of the path :D

Don't let the naming be arbitrary and meaningless The numbering is confusing - the creator of this highlight is from a different location (Eningen/RT) - this trail is simply the Diebsteig Trail: technically at its best, but you should have basic knowledge of MTB / rough trail descents over carpets of roots. It's pretty steep in places - once you've started the descent, you have to go through it. If you stop and try to push down, the descent becomes more difficult and increases the chance of involuntary "taking a soil sample"😉. The entrance can be found at the top of the “Steiniger Weg”. Strictly speaking, two parallel runs go down from this - both are technically demanding and ideal for fully MTBs. The descents are definitely rideable for advanced beginners as long as you have balance on the bike, correct braking technique and ideally the right protective equipment at the start, provided you are not yet familiar with such lines.
