During my time in Bad Reiboldsgrün in the GDR, we often went hiking to Grünheide/Vogtland - it was always a childhood wish and that lasted until 1981 and once in 2024!

Holiday camp/youth hostel with many leisure activities on a large site. The location can also be used as a starting point for hikes. There are enough parking spaces here.

Beautiful single trail along the railway track. When it's wet there are swampy places.

Beautiful descent partly washed out. Also recommended for the ascent to the Auersberg

Nice trail. For me as an absolute beginner it was actually quite difficult to drive in places. But it's really fun. Only driving up is sometimes annoying because some forest roads are not always cleared.
