The term singletrack refers to a trail that is so narrow that you cannot ride or run next to each other. It was initially used in mountain biking, but has recently also been used in trail running. Singletrails are usually around 30 to 60 cm wide. The term is also often used to describe a hiking trail that is used for mountain biking or trail running.

You mainly meet bikers here who can accelerate on the clear path without having to slow down too often. The route is also very nice for running because the surface of the path is not too demanding and you can let your eyes and thoughts wander for a bit.

It was beautiful in the Pioneer Park area during GDR times. In the former “Blue Quarry” there was a fountain, plenty of seating and pleasant outdoor concerts. If something is happening here now, it will only be acoustic pollution. Not pretty, but so loud that you can still hear about it in Chemnitz!

Many sections have already been found between Chemnitz and Zwönitz. Unfortunately not always well signposted.
