North of Jois is the Ochsenbrunnen. A small pond in the middle of a natural landscape that makes every romantic heart beat faster. It's worth a visit, especially on hot days: Located at the edge of the forest, old trees provide enough shade, fresh spring water gushes out of the fountain and offers refreshment, and benches with tables invite you to rest. Water lilies adorn the pond and colorful dragonflies regularly pay a visit. And the view of Jois and Lake Neusiedl is tremendous.

After a few steps you will reach the Bear Cave, a natural monument.

According to a legend, the seven dwarfs lived here. When Snow White went with the prince, they were very sad and from then on lived in seclusion. When the first of the dwarfs died, the others planted a linden tree in his memory. So it happened to the five other dwarfs. When the last dwarf died, a good fairy put a linden tree for him. A few years ago, all of the linden trees had to be felled by the federal forests for safety reasons. But seven new linden trees were planted.
