残念ながら、この美しい樫の木はもうありません。冬の嵐で倒れてしまいました😪

The Regge River has become a natural, meandering river again thanks to its restoration. A river that winds through the landscape retains water longer during dry periods. There are also water storage areas in the Regge Valley, which can be flooded during wet periods to prevent flooding elsewhere. To prevent droughts, water levels are regulated by weirs. The Notter Weir has a long, fixed sill that ensures the water level remains at the correct level. On the other side of the river is a fish ladder that allows fish to pass through the weir to reach their spawning grounds.

Unfortunately, this tree is no longer there.

Beautiful gardens. While the entrance fee is €7.50 per person, it's not free, but the grounds are extremely well-maintained, completely litter-free, and clean. While there's no catering, there's a decent coffee machine in the entrance area that provides a decent enough cappuccino for €2.00. Restroom facilities are bonfortionable. Numerous less kitschy souvenirs—apparently aimed at "garden lovers"—are available, as well as food items with a "farm shop" feel.

Since March 2025, a new shoot has grown in the remains of the trunk. (see photo)

This tree was broken by the storm unfortunately. Too bad, we promised they will plant a new one
