Its symbolic source lies at an altitude of 1,386 m above sea level. It is enclosed in a brick ring with inflow and outflow, and its stone-paved surroundings offer benches for relaxation. In 1968, a wall of rough rock was added, bearing the coats of arms of 26 important cities through which the Elbe flows on its way to the North Sea.

The rock formations are located on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland. They are called "Svinské kameny" in Czech, "Trzy Świnki" in Polish, and "Sausteine" in German.

The Pig Stones, in Polish Trzy Świnki and in Czech Svinské kameny, are a distinctive granite rock formation in the western part of the Silesian Ridge of the Giant Mountains, on the border between Poland and the Czech Republic. The Pig Stones are located in the immediate vicinity of the ridge path, about 400 meters northwest of the Twarożnik (Cheese Cliff). A green marked hiking trail leads from there to the Horse Headstones (Końskie Łby) and around the Reifträger Peak. The rock formation was created by natural weathering processes of the granite, which took place over millions of years and created the characteristic shapes of the Pig Stones. The name "Pig Stones" derives from the rocks' resemblance to three pigs lying next to each other. There are various local legends that explain the formation and naming of the rock formation. The Pig Stones offer impressive views of the surrounding landscape and are a worthwhile destination for hikes in the Giant Mountains.

The Naděje Dam, formerly known as the Hoffnung Dam or Hammer Dam, is a water reservoir in the Czech Republic. It is located at an altitude of 455 metres above sea level, about 1.5 kilometres north of the village of Naděje in the municipality of Cvikov in the Lusatian Mountains. The dam is located in the deep, wooded valley of the Hamerský potok (Hammer Stream) below the Suchý vrch (Dürrberg). The dam was built between 1937 and 1938 by the Teplitz master builder A. Niklas. The 91.57 metre long and 9.5 metre high dam is made of phonolite rock from the nearby Suchý vrch. The dam crest is 1.7 metres wide and has an overflow over a length of 33 metres. The dam originally served as a water reservoir for the hammer mill and the sawmill in the Hamr settlement. In addition, a chain of bunkers of the Czechoslovak Wall has been running south of the dam since 1936, reminding us of the historical importance of the region.
