Ronov is a castle ruin northeast of Blíževedel in the Česká Lípa district of the Liberec Region. It is located on the top of Ronov Hill, which is part of the Ralská pahorkatina. The remains of the castle are protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The oldest direct reports about the castle date back to the fifteenth century. In 1438 it was owned by Vilém of Ilburk, who significantly rebuilt the castle. After 1538, the Stvolínec fortress became the main seat of the nobility, and Ronov gradually turned into a ruin.

Unfortunately, the viewing point on the Johannesstein can now only be used by hotel guests.

Even if the Ronberg is still covered in morning mist and cannot be seen at all during the early ascent, the view from the Ronburg on the summit of the Kegelberg is all the more beautiful over the mist and the sun rising above it 🌞 🙂; moments that are magical and make time stand still. Incidentally, the historic hiking trails Kegelweg and Westlicher Rautenweg cross at the Ronberg.

The summit is easily accessible by lift and from which you can start beautiful hikes.

Klíč Hill (Kleis, 760 m) is a mountain located about 1.5 km west of Svor and 3.5 km north of Nový Bor, rising majestically above the surrounding landscape. The bare, rocky peak of Klíč offers a wide panoramic view, which is often described as the most beautiful in the entire Lusatian Mountains.

As there is only sparse tree growth above 700 m, the Klíč offers a very good view of the mountains of the Bohemian Central Uplands and the Ralsko (Roll). To the north and east, the mountain ranges of the Lusatian Mountains, Jeschken Mountains, Jizera Mountains and Giant Mountains form an impressive panorama. To the west, there is a unique view of the table mountains of Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland as far as the Ore Mountains.
