Beautiful tidal beach

Fabulous view at 390m altitude

King Arthur's Hall is an atmospheric place where it is easy to conjure up thoughts of the regal knights gathered around the round table. No one really knows exactly what it was used for or when it was in use. Theories include a megalithic ceremonial site and a tank for storing water.

Rough Tor is a striking granite summit on the northern edge of Bodmin Moor. Great views back to the sea or on towards Brown Willy. 400 m high.

Breney Common is an important wetland, open water and dry heathland site designated as a SSSI and nature reserve. Historically it was a tin mining area which left the depressions and landforms which then became ponds and ditches. There are a wide variety of plants and animals here, the area supports several dragonfly and damselfly species.

Done it in the fog .Good for nav skills . Excellent round houses old settlements .as seen on time teams programme.fog lifted had good day well worth the trip

A lovely Tor to do in conjunction with Brown Willy. Easily accessible from the Rough Tor car park. Impressive rock formations and a generally interesting place to be at with great views.
