Brown Willy at 420 m is the highest point in Cornwall. The rocky granite summit offers great views across Bodmin and over Rough Tor out to sea.

Rough Tor is a striking granite summit on the northern edge of Bodmin Moor. Great views back to the sea or on towards Brown Willy. 400 m high.

This will take you to Tintagel Grad with the castle ruins.

Stunning views over Bodmin Moor. Easy to climb up with good physical condition and appropriate footwear.

The ascent is ok, easier than I feared after some reports. If you follow the path and are sure-footed, no problem. Sturdy shoes are recommended. Have fun, the view of the moor and the sea is awesome.

I dont really fancy doing Bodmin Moor And Exmoor BUT i would like to do Brown Willy. Im more interested in Peak District, Lake District, Snowdonia, Brecon Beacons And Scotland. And by my Username i am obsessed with Dartmoor!

I think you have to pay to cross it but it's worth just checking it out anyway

The highest point in Cornwall and a UK designated Marilyn. I think the best way to go up Brown Willy is to do a loop and come in from the south to make a nice 8-mile (13 km) hike of it and include Rough Tor on the way back. A lovely Tor to do in conjunction with Brown Willy. Easily accessible from the Rough Tor car park. Impressive rock formations and a generally interesting place to be at with great views.

To access both halves of the ruins of Tintagel Castle, which sits on its own tiny peninsula as well as on the Cornish mainland, you'll need to cross on this modern steel bridge, which is an adventure all of its own. This bridge is also a great spot to get photos of the castle and the coastline, as long as you don't have a fear of heights! Access to the bridge is included when you buy a ticket to visit the castle, which is worth doing if you want to find out if King Arthur really did call this corner of Cornwall home...
