When it comes to the beach, you have to pay attention to the tides, which can make it very small.

Owned by the National Trust, Carne Beach is easily accessible from the road and footpath (no steps). There are toilets here as well as a coffee shack and a big car park, plus an easy walk up to Nare Head in the east on the coast path.

Pendennis point provides beautiful views of the coast and is only a very short distance from busy Falmouth. The name comes the Cornish Pen (Headland) and Dynas (Castle). Dolphins and Basking Sharks have been spotted here along with more frequent visits from seals. Pendennis Castle began life in the 16th Century as a gun fort and has guarded the entrance to Carrick Roads (Falmouth Estuary) since. It is looked after by English Heritage and open to visitors.

Lovely Gardens with a very unique story to tell - worth reading or watching. Cost is 22.50 pounds for adults in the 2023 season.

The magnificent garden, laid out at the end of the 19th century, fell into disrepair after the Second World War and was completely overgrown. Finally, one could hardly recognize anything of its original splendor - it was lost "lost". The Lost Garden was then rediscovered in the 1990s and restored to its original form by Tim Smit. In the meantime huge rhododendron trees had grown. This story makes the garden so special. A once lost garden has been revived in its old splendour. But even without that history, it's a very worth seeing place.

Lovely sandy, dog friendly beach. Narrow access roads from both directions and very limited parking, so better to access on a bike if you can manage the 20% hill on the way out

The Mud Maid and The Giants Head are the two figures of the artist Susan Hill in Sculpture Park - the two nestle in nature with beautiful vegetation.

Who does not shy away from the ascent or descent will be rewarded with a great beach section. The beach is due to the initially mentioned efforts and the fact that there are no toilets and no beach bar o.Ä. often relatively empty. Not for families, especially since the surf can be strong.

From wiki: The Lost Gardens of Heligan (Cornish: Lowarth Helygen, meaning "willow tree garden"), near Mevagissey in Cornwall, are one of the most popular botanical gardens in the UK. The gardens are typical of the 19th century Gardenesque style with areas of different character and in different design styles.

Heligan Cafe. Good food. Good for vegans and vegetarians while also (so I'm told) having good meat from neighbouring Lobbs farm. Pizza, Jacket potatoes, quiche, frittata and salad are our favourites.

Hemmick is a small and attractive sandy beach to the west of Dodman Point. The beach is accessed by a steep road from the small car park. It is relatively little-visited, meaning that you can enjoy it without the crowds.

The garden is really worth seeing, large and very versatile, embedded in the landscape, hiking boots are quite appropriate. We took the ferry from Fowey to Mevagissey - a half hour worth of sea voyage with views of St. Austell Bay.

On the south cornwall stretch of the SWCP / cornish coast path. Parking nearby at Penare national trust car park. A quieter beach than most.
