One question remains for me: Is the yoke called "Dreibrunnen" (Three Fountains) after the three wooden tubes that supply water to the trough? I assume the name is much older than the three tubes... and could perhaps come from three springs that emerge nearby? I haven't verified... but stopping here and enjoying the fresh water is always a pleasure!

At this time of year (April 2025), only the most hardy water lovers will venture into the lake. We're just walking around it... But it looks really inviting, so we could return for a swim in the summer.

The Passion Play House is located directly on Lake Thiersee. It seats almost 1,000 visitors and was built in 1926. The Passion Play takes place every six years.
