Roman Catholic parish church in the tranquil village of Kaufering. The originally late Gothic building was rebuilt as a Baroque pilaster church by the Dießen Monastery from 1699 to 1702, retaining the choir and church tower. The parish church of St. John the Baptist in Kaufering was built between 1699 and 1704 and boasts a 65-meter-high tower 🕍. Inside, you'll find magnificent stucco work by the Wessobrunner School—a true Baroque gem.

The neo-Baroque furnishings date from 1940 to 1948. The choir features Nazarene altarpieces by Johannes Kaspar of Obergünzburg, dating from 1870/1873. The current side altarpieces were painted by Gertrud Drexel of Türkheim in 1948 (Death of Joseph, right) and 1958 (Finding of the Cross by Saint Helena, left). In the crypt beneath the choir is a tomb of Christ from the mid-13th century.

Excellently paved bike path between Untermeitingen and Langerringen. Prone to wind!

A very nice bike path next to the road. While it's not very busy, the detour onto the bike path is still worth it.
