The Boaria pass is a suggestive pass in the Ligurian Alps, the border between Italy and France. It is one of the most iconic places along the entire Alta Via del Sale, known for its extraordinary hairpin bend, partially carved into the rock, which overlooks the void. It seems almost suspended in thin air.

The lake below the Sella, which hosts the Dante Livio Bianco refuge, is one of the largest basins in the valley, second only to the nearby lake soprano della Sella. The itinerary to reach this area is simple and panoramic, following a historic hunting mule track. The terrain here is ideal for running, and it is possible to spot chamois and other wildlife, especially in the evening hours. The lake has an imposing mountain wall as its backdrop, offering a scenario of great beauty.
