中世の城壁であるBastioni Medievaliに囲まれた丘の上に位置しています。La Morraという名前は、方言のmurraに由来し、羊の囲いを意味します。

Born from an idea by Bruno Alesso, the corner of paradise La Sirenetta takes shape in Savigliano. Over the years, this extraordinarily beautiful eco-tourism system has developed on the suggestive farm in Solerette, which has quickly insinuated itself into the hearts of people from all over Piedmont. The lake, a true work of natural art, is fed by the underground springs of the Maìra streams and was created in 1994 on rural land of approximately 16 hectares, with the aim of fish farming and repopulation of avian biodiversity. In 1996 the official inauguration took place with fishing and aquaculture activities, giving life to an extraordinary place. In 2023 the lake reached an extension of approximately 35,000 m2 with an average depth of 10 meters. This jewel is set in a surrounding park, expertly managed by specialized university professors, making it a flagship of Piedmontese tourism. The numerous proposed activities and outdoor initiatives, immersed in lush nature, transform every moment spent here into a unique experience, proving to be the perfect stage for creating indelible memories.

The facades have been demolished over the centuries. La Morra is now an open community. Wall remains are still visible. Excerpt from our experience in "Embracing Cherasco" : Still a bit disappointed we return past the 14th century Castello Visconteo. Fortunately, the neglected impression of this castle was quickly compensated by stories of the ancient fairytale old plane trees. Through the annual shedding of the bark, the tree renews itself like a snake and is a symbol in Greek mythology for rebirth. We have therefore literally embraced the thickest plane tree. That way we can get back to it.
