Amazing place along the silent road, worth a break

The Corticato saddle is one of the most spectacular passes in Cilento. The climb from Sacco is long and pleasant, the road has literally been carved into the rock. The saddle is wide and acts as a watershed between Cilento and Vallo di Diano. In June it is tinged with yellow with the fragrant brooms.

At this point you can find a small bench where you can take a break next to the river, always remembering respect for nature.

This stretch is very scenic. The trail has a rocky bottom, so pay close attention to where you step while enjoying your surroundings.

The Baptistery of San Giovanni In Fonte in Sala Consilina is one of the oldest settlements of Christianity. It is characterized by the presence of a spring inside the church, with a tub used for the baptism of the faithful.

The Agri originates from Mount Lama in Marsico Nuovo, runs through the region for 112 kilometers and flows into the Ionian Sea, touching numerous municipalities in the valley to which it gives its name, including Paterno.

The Valley of the Orchids of Sassano in the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park is a popular destination for botany enthusiasts, as well as a source of great pride for the inhabitants of Vallo di Diano.
