Excerpt from our experience in "Embracing Cherasco" : Still a bit disappointed we return past the 14th century Castello Visconteo. Fortunately, the neglected impression of this castle was quickly compensated by stories of the ancient fairytale old plane trees. Through the annual shedding of the bark, the tree renews itself like a snake and is a symbol in Greek mythology for rebirth. We have therefore literally embraced the thickest plane tree. That way we can get back to it.
