Okay, the Parco Thermale di Bagnaccio is once again open daily. In winter from 8am to 8pm, in Summer open until 23pm or even midnight! Entry is 5€ for pilgrims with credential (or if you are lucky like me, also without). Else it is 10€. There are three simple changing rooms, some toilets, a snack automat and coffee maschine and, sometimes just outside, a mobile little restaurant selling hot meals.

The Martelluzzo waterfalls are a small but picturesque waterfall. The ruins of a mill next to the waterfalls make the landscape even more beautiful. The water is less clean than other waterfalls in Tuscia, but it is still worth it because of the beautiful surroundings and the lush vegetation. The waterfalls flow into the Fosso Martelluzzo. Water is an omnipresent element on the route to the Martelluzzo waterfalls. In front of the ruined medieval fortress you have a view of the Vezza river valley. Then you reach the Fosso del Martelluzzo with its beautiful waterfall.

Especially after a long hike, the thermal pools in the Parco Termale di Bagnaccio are highly recommended. The thermal water comes up to 70 degrees from the earth - even the Romans and after them the pilgrims on the Via Francigena have bathed here. There are several white pools with different water temperatures, mostly only hip-high. The infrastructure in the park is still relatively sparse, as a rule, some entry is required for the cleaning of the pools. The Via Francigena or the ancient Roman road Via Cassia run right on the edge of the Parco Termale, in this area you will also find some ruins of Roman baths.
