Stužica is a national nature reserve, the original Carpathian forest, which stretches in a deep valley around the Stužica River on the border of Slovakia, Poland and Ukraine in the Bukovské vrchy - in the Poloniny National Park - near the easternmost Slovak village of Nová Sedlica. The national nature reserve located in the vicinity of Kremenec Hill was declared in 1965 and amended in 1974 and 1993 on an area of 761.49 ha. It protects a complex of natural beech and fir-beech stands of a primeval nature with a forest structure in all stages of its development. (Wikipedia)
