It's essentially the center of northern Langeland, and has been for over 150 years. While the town and harbor are relatively small, there's still plenty going on here. A fair number of boats are moored at the piers. In the harbor office, there are music evenings and a market in the summer (Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.). In the immediate vicinity, there are several restaurants, all of which—as far as we've tried so far—are very good. A collection of rides and playgrounds offers fun for the little ones. The short promenade and the harbor area are paved with easy-to-drive asphalt.

Small, whitewashed brick church. The oldest building dates from around 1220, otherwise late Gothic. Renovated between 1830 and 1831. The frescoes in the church date from the 16th century, some of which were repainted throughout.

Built in the early 13th century. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The base of the baptismal font, made of granite, is more recent, as is the pulpit, although it is in the Renaissance style. The church also contains a fresco from 1523 with a very special design of the Danish coat of arms (Arma Danorum). In 1971, the remains of a lamb's skeleton were found under the church roof. It was popular belief that the church lamb protected against death and misfortune. This discovery confirmed this. A similar find was also made in Tullebølle Church.

Like many of the churches on Langeland, this church was built in the 13th century and is made of rough and split rocks. It is particularly noteworthy that small heads are engraved in the area of the base stones. General Frederik Ahlefeldt Laurvig was responsible for a general renovation and extension of the church in the 19th century. This included the construction of all the gables of the church and the upper part of the tower.
