In 1830, when Jens Sophus Borch bought the large merchant's house, it was said to have been built in 1595 by the pharmacist Hermann Reiminch and his wife Margrethe, who had immigrated to Germany from Westphalia in the early 1580s. The Latin inscription means "One must be careful before trusting someone." In 1911, a real estate company acquired the buildings, which, in addition to the main house facing Akseltorv, also included numerous stables and warehouses on what is now the parking lot. The last of these disappeared around 1970. The main house was thoroughly restored in 1959, and the facade was renovated in 1990. More recently, the building housed a surveying company and municipal offices. From the starting point, it's mostly paved until you actually start the MTB trail. The blue MTB trail halfway up (blue) is quite enjoyable, but it has some challenging climbs! We couldn't get back to the starting point through the meadow because the gate was closed/locked. And the last part of the MTB trail is very challenging/steep and more like a "red" category. We rode it at the end of October, with lots of leaves and rain in the days before, so it was really slippery and slippery in some sections.

On this wide, well-asphalted road, you can get out of downtown Kolding really fast and in a secure way. From here, you can also see the fjord.
