Munke Mose is a large, popular park in the heart of Odense, offering many recreational opportunities. One of these is a water playground, which is especially popular with children. The playground is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales and features elements reminiscent of nature, such as large butterflies, tree stumps, and ducks. The playground includes a small water play area where children can play with the stream of water. It is designed for balancing on large lily pads or sliding down a slide. The water features are part of a larger playground area in the park, ideal for families. The park itself is located on the Odense Å River and also offers the opportunity to go canoeing or pedal boating.

Munkebo Hill A Viking Age power center with perhaps the most beautiful view of Funen and the experience is free. A family of Viking kings from Funen lived on Munkebo Hill. Archaeological excavations have revealed a settlement here, a power center from the late Iron Age and Viking Age (ca. 550-950 AD) at the top of the hill. Several Viking Age houses, pit houses, and a mighty "King's Hall" surrounded by a strong wooden wall have been found. From here, the King of Ladby could control the surrounding landscape, overlooking Odense Fjord, Kertinge Nor, and the Great Belt. At the top of the observation tower, you are 58 meters above sea level, and you have fantastic views in all directions. The Viking Age and the region's history are told through posters at the information center or can be experienced through play. The information center has a restroom with wheelchair access. Højde Mærke Survey Point is the highest point on Funen Island. From here, you have the best views in all directions. It's worth climbing up here and enjoying the view.

On Fyns Hoved, you'll find the most magnificent and dramatic landscape on Funen, as well as the Bæsbanke Cliffs. Within a limited area, you'll encounter a variety of different landforms: curved headlands, steep cliffs, isthmuses, coastal lakes, drags, and reclaimed seabed. The Baesbanke Cliffs definitely play a major role in the spectacle that nature unfolds here. The cliffs here on the west side of Fyns Hoved are constantly exposing new layers from the Ice Age as the water draws material from the coast. High up on the cliff, you can see large boulders that could only have been deposited in a rushing meltwater stream near a glacial spur. The northernmost tip of Funen is Fyns Hoved. It is a peninsula on the Hindsholm peninsula, forming a distinctive head and marking the transition between the Kattegat and the Great Belt. Fyns Hoved is known for its impressive views, rugged landscape, and nature reserves. It is a great place for cycling and enjoying nature, as well as birdwatching. The tip is easily accessible on foot, but it is also possible by bike. In addition to Fyns Hoved, Agernæs is also worth mentioning as the northernmost point of North Funen. Agernæs is a peninsula that is also considered part of the Flyvesandet nature reserve.
