Beware: private road leading to the Château de Targnon estate! Although this trail was easy to plan with komoot, you'll end up walking along the upper side of the castle grounds, which is obviously not the intention. It is, however, one of the few ways to descend to the Lienne. I was able to walk unhindered past some hidden buildings and along the castle avenue out of the park. A beautiful section, with a small bridge over the Lienne just before it flows into the Amblève. Images you don't normally get to see.

Recently built castle between 1912 and 1919 on the site of a 16th century castle. Dominant location over the Amblève valley. The towers give it a fairytale medieval character.

At the height of the Amblève valley between Stoumont and La Gleize. Locally called 'Promenade de la Corniche'. Mainly through beautiful deciduous forest and where the space becomes open you walk under the beautiful castle of Froidcour.

Estate with a history dating back to 1343 when Renard, member of the noble family de Waimes (family that also built the castle of Reinhardsein) settled here. Today a beautifully situated B&B.

The view of Château de Froidcour is breathtaking, with the impressive castle rising up between the rolling hills and dense forests of the Ardennes. From various vantage points, you can admire the elegant silhouette of the château, surrounded by a picturesque landscape that shines in every season.
