The Ganschendorfer See, also known as the Schwarzer See, is located about 500m southwest of Ganschendorf, a district of Sarow, in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district and south of Demmin. The body of water is located on a road that branches off to the west north of the Ganschendorf body of water. The lake is surrounded by a narrow belt of trees, which is more extensive on the southern bank. There are several moorings in the north and northeast shores.
