The body of water has an area of approximately 17.0 hectares and reaches a maximum depth of about 2.5 meters. It is a natural lake used for recreation, swimming, and fishing.

The Großer Varchentiner See is located north of the Mecklenburg Lake District in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and belongs entirely to the municipality of Groß Plasten. It covers an area of 1.81 km² and has a maximum width of 1,600 meters and a maximum length of 1,500 meters. The bathing area at Ivenacker Lake was lovingly renovated at the end of 2024. There are seating areas and sports equipment for physical activity.

A beautiful place by the lake to unwind. Or jump into the cold water.
