The Jungle Queen Riverboat, an iconic attraction in Fort Lauderdale, traces its history back to 1935 when it was launched as a sightseeing vessel. Originally operated by Capt. This access road is connected to a numerous great trails on the inside of the mini-island. You will find an info board with the exact location and directions for each trail. The tracks are relatively short, diverse, and some include some MTB obstacles. As there is no specific tour to follow, I recommend following the access road and tackling the trails that tempt you as you go.

There is a network of paved trails to the east of the lake in Quiet Waters Park that are perfect for walking with children and dogs. Children will also love the Splash Adventure water park. It's well known locally for the annual Renaissance Festival, when the park is turned into a 16th century village alive of performers and a huge marketplace.

The lake is a great spot for a lunch or snack break during which you can enjoy watching wakeboarders in the distance.

Known as Fort Lauderdale's Central Park, Hugh Taylor Birch Park offers a stunning slice of nature in the middle of this busy, urban area. There is a 1.9 mile trail around the edge of the park which is perfect for children. It is anti-clockwise only, so make sure you head in the correct direction on entering the park and enjoy.

Weston Regional Park is home to a multitude of athletic fields including soccer, baseball, and basketball. There is a bike repair station here and plenty of shelters to escape the Florida sun.

The world famous Everglades! Simply a fantastic landscape! You can look for miles and see many animals (including alligators) in the wild. In any case, you should have a good sun block because there is not really shade there! Otherwise, the terrain is very easy and above all flat!
