God created the incredibly beautiful nature. And Ludovic gave the place its soul. Need a rest, something to eat or drink or a toilet? We were here as guests at the camping site for nearly a week. But we believe that everyone will find a warm welcome here. This is more than Camping, it is Home. This Place really should be added to the "Cool Camping" places.

There is a hut at this spot where you can spend the night. With fireplace and door. And outside place to light a fire. A little further on there is a toilet house and a beautiful deck for swimming and fishing. Lots of mosquitoes so don't forget your mosquito spray! (we had forgotten, teenager not amused). Once you get to the parking lot with the signs for Ritamäki, you've gone too far. Walk back up about 100 meters along the lake. Then you will see a small path on the left through the forest towards the lake. Turn that in and you will see the hut. ---- Here you find a little cabin with fireplace inside and a door. When you are at the parking with the sign for Ritamäki, you went to far. Walk back up the road along the lake. After approx 100 mtr there is a small path on your left. It goes through the forest downward towards the lake. There it is.

On the one hand, Hovfjället is a great ski area that is easy to reach in the Torsby region. The on-site service is great and the prices are reasonable. It is not a high alpine area, but the slopes are varied and designed for beginners to professionals. You can also go cross-country skiing. There are plates, anchors and chairlifts. The ski station has something for everyone to rent, so spontaneous people can also go skiing. In the rest of the year, Hovfjället is a wonderful hiking area with a view of the entire region. The hiking routes are marked according to their level of difficulty, similar to the ski slopes. The varied landscape, the animal world and the water that always accompanies you in some way is always worth a visit.
