A charming chapel stands at the crossroads below the cemetery. There are also a few benches nearby for resting.

According to the inscription, the listed church, dedicated to St. George, was built here in Eisenhüttl in 1796. The war memorial and rest areas are also located nearby.

A beautiful chapel. The building was first mentioned as a bell tower in 1697. Its first documented use as a chapel dates back to 1757. A visitation report finally reveals that Count Batthyany had this "little church" built in 1732. You'll find rest areas in front of the church.

Magnificent view to the north as far as the Geschriebenstein and Wechsel massifs. Great viewpoint.

In recent years, visiting this place has become a mixed bag. The food can be good, but it's not always guaranteed. The restaurant has changed hands frequently, and each owner tries something different. And that doesn't always work. But the good news is: coffee and a beachy vibe are always available in the summer.

Unlike the front fish pond, this one is much smaller, but also more natural. Ducks and swans often congregate here. A particularly lovely spot in summer.

Here you'll find a small stone circle and a bench for resting. At the right time of day, it's even shaded by the trees :)

My "backup" in case of bad weather, when my route takes me past here. I've never actually needed it yet, though. Still: Nice rest stop.
