Castello Rondolino in Cavaglià is an impressive castle located at the entrance to the small village of the same name. It was originally built by the wealthy Rondolino family in the first half of the 18th century. Later, at the end of the 19th century, it underwent a complete restoration in neo-medieval style. The imposing structure consists of three parts: a central complex with a square base, a tower called “Mastio” and an external structure connected to the main building.

The remains of this structure are found on Bric del Monte, of which only the foundations remain. It is located inside the forest among foliage and dry branches that hinder the climb

Strategically important for to its position on the border between the ancient Marquisate of Monferrato and the possessions of the Diocese of Vercelli, the castle still retains an impressive appearance.

The medieval castle of Moncrivello rises on the hill of Moncrivello, with a view between the Vercelli area and the morainic amphitheater of Ivrea. The most important interventions were carried out in the 15th century at the behest of the Duchess Jolanda of Savoy. Inside the castle it is now possible to stay in a B&B.

This small town is crossed by the Via Francigena and the Cammino di Oropa. The Rondolino Castle fascinates hikers and visitors for its reference to the Middle Ages even if it is a nineteenth-century construction.
