Definitely not cycling here on weekends or when the weather is nice!!!!! It's hell! During the week and early in the morning, it's perfectly possible to cycle along the lake. Otherwise, it's only possible above the lakes!

Always good for a stop at the Fischerhütte am Schlachtensee. If you walk around the Schlachtensee and the Krumme Lanke you have the opportunity to take a break here.

Open daily. Also the beer garden!

Nice that the beer garden is open at any time of the year. We love to stop here on our walk. The cake is highly recommended, especially with the beautiful view over the lake. Unfortunately not cheap but a great location.

Small, very well-kept park with many benches and well-developed paths and direct access to the Schlachtensee. The train station is also right next door.

The Paul-Ernst Park is located on the southern shore of the Schlachtensee. The upper area of the park is particularly striking, a well-groomed lawn with flower beds and a memorial stone for the namesake, the writer and journalist Paul Ernst (1866-1933). There is a nice view of the lake from the northern end of the upper section. From there, Paul-Ernst-Park extends down the slope to the lake shore and from there about a kilometer further east to a small peninsula jutting out into the lake. (Source: http://wikimapia.org)

The Schlachtensee is heavily frequented by pedestrians in sunny weather. I would therefore recommend that mountain bikers ride this route in the morning. Then you can really speed up and enjoy the flowing trail around the Schlachtensee.

The Paul-Ernst-Park in Berlin is located in the Berlin district of Zehlendorf. The 14.5 hectare park was laid out in 1783 as a palace park. The park sways around the Schlachtensee and is used intensively for walks. The park, with its continuous shore path, is one of the most popular jogging routes in Berlin. The extensive park is named after the German writer Paul Ernst (1866-1933). The recreation park consists on the one hand of a dense forest, while in the upper area at the S-Bahn station Schlachtensee, flower beds and sunbathing areas are laid out.
