The Honeydew Track is a 1.6km circular walk. It starts at Kerr Bay Campsite and follows the shores of Lake Rotoiti with a short forest loop at the end. It is generally considered an easy route. This track is great for birdwatching, camping and hiking and you are unlikely to meet many other people while exploring. The track is open all year round and can be visited at any time. Dogs are not allowed on this track. Please note that pre-booking is required to stay at the campground.

Beautiful bay with wonderful views... when the weather is good there is a lot going on here... there are often a lot of eels near the shore... be careful: they like to bite

Beautifully located mountain lake... the view of the lake is even better from above... please note: swimming or any contact with the water should be avoided so that the water is not contaminated with germs
