The hiking hut not only houses the Touringen stamping station, but also offers space and shelter for a short rest. A few meters further on, you can visit the Henning Stone. An information board is located next to the hut.

Here you can stamp your route and take a break to enjoy the view. 😎

Great view and a great place for a break. The hut is currently being renovated and is therefore not open.

There are several information boards at the Schwarzer Stock rest hut. Here you can find out, among other things, why there are so many field names with this name. When boundary stones could not be erected or were not wanted, oak posts were erected to mark the area boundaries and important crossing points. However, these turned black due to wind and weather and thus the name Schwarzer Stock was born.

This view is unparalleled and makes hikers pause in awe on the summit of the Gläserberg. No tree, no bush obscures the view from the bare mountaintop, which greets visitors from afar. Anyone who has managed the climb to the 671-metre-high Gläserberg is rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view. A panorama that stretches far beyond the borders, with the Wartburg (34 km) in the north, the Schneekopf (47 km) in the east, the Heidelstein (26 km) in the south and the Rößberg (14 km) in the west at the hiker's feet.
