The Zeitzgrund is worth a visit.

The Warnsdorfgrund is a narrow valley with umpteen ponds and here and there a nice seating area to linger.

Along the deeply incised and densely wooded valley, the Zeitzbach often stretches alongside the main hiking trail, where there are several mills, some of which are now inns. The railway line between Central Germany runs a little above.

Can be reached quickly even on foot and there are also some sand toys for the little ones.

Finally, a tip. If you are out and about by bike, take a mountain bike. The route is not necessarily suitable for city or touring bikes ...

Today I was at a rather unknown highlight. The Amselfall near Dorna is probably so unknown because it is also quite unspectacular. A small stream spring that flows over a stone. Nevertheless, the way there, difficult as it is, is the goal. You drive via Stadtroda, take the sculpture trail, then over the bridge over the A4, and turn right at the next intersection. The way is signposted. The Amselfall lies in a ravine, almost a bit like in the fairy tale forest, it smells wonderfully of mushrooms and forest. The ascent to dorna is quite steep.
