The estate comprises, in addition to the main castle, other buildings including a coach house (with 29 rooms in a Spanish country house style, extended in 2003), a residence, a garage, and a warehouse. The steward's house – typically the residence of the estate manager on historic properties – was located in building number 37.

The single-story Groß Plasten manor house was built in 1751 as a stucco building with a mansard roof in the Baroque style. In the mid-19th century, the von Michael family, who owned the approximately 574-hectare estate before the Great Depression until 1945, added a two-story transverse building with a lakeside terrace. The renovations, carried out from 1891 to 1893, were overseen by Privy Councilor Georg Daniel. Today, the site houses the Groß Plasten Castle Hotel.

Wendorf Castle is an old manor house on an old knight's estate dating back to 1637. At that time, and until at least 1895/1896, it was owned by the von Schack family of counts. Ernst von Schack (1850–1896) is listed as the owner of the 1150.40 hectares (including 352 hectares of forest). The estate included a watermill and a brickworks. In January 1904, the estate passed to Ivan Carl Mackensen von Astfeld (1861–1944). He had the building completely rebuilt according to a design by the architect Paul Korff. The associated estate park, with oak trees up to 600 years old, was designed with the assistance of the landscape architect Reinhold Hoemann. Wendorf appears to have actually served as a hunting lodge. After World War II, it served as a youth hostel. After reunification, it was restored and converted into the Schlosshotel Wendorf, which opened in June 2009. The sign now (2025) reads "Kinderschloss" (Children's Castle). The park is rather poor and has certainly seen better days.

In 1908, Dr. Adolf von Buenger acquired the estate. Between 1905 and 1914, he had almost the entire village demolished, subsequently rebuilding the manor house, the estate, and the village. The manor house is a two-story, plastered building with a colonnade and a gazebo, built on a fieldstone base. The entrance hall, with its original wood paneling, extends over two floors, and a wide staircase leads to a gallery. Between 1945 and 1990, the manor house was used as a training center by the Neubrandenburg District Cultural Academy, after which it stood empty for many years. The manor house is privately owned. Adjacent to the stately home is a small park with a meadow as its centerpiece. The entire estate, including the inspector's house, stables, and barns, is truly worth seeing, but is in a state of disrepair. At the front you are standing in front of locked gates. At the back you can enter the grounds unhindered. The path to Klein Plasten also leads past the castle.
