In the Penzliner Land there was a border fortification called the Iron Gate (Isern Purt) between the Slavs and the German settlers in the 12th century. German settlement took place around 1220 and the castle was probably built, which subsequently became the second residence of the Werle princes. Steep approach and descent to the castle. It's worth it, a place to stay. In an outbuilding, coffee and cake are offered in the castle garden, among other things. Self-service. Nicely decorated building, relaxed atmosphere, nice service, nice conversations about "old times"!👍 Free apples from the castle garden. Nice experience and highly recommended!
