We visited the hut once before on January 1, 2021. There's now a stamp box here, and a hut book is also available. Unfortunately, the view of the valley was obscured by fog today.

From September 15, 2024, stamp station 22 of the hiking treasures of the Wild Homeland will be located directly at the Moosberghütte. At the Moosberghütte on the ridge of the Elfas, hikers can expect a wonderful view of the Solling and the upstream villages such as the "Wilhelm Busch Model Village Lüthorst", Erichsburg and Hunnesrück. At the foot of the Elfas, the lovely Bewer, which was the first river in Lower Saxony to be renaturalized in 1987, flows through the meadows and floodplains. Numerous seating areas and information boards on the forest nature trail invite you to look and linger on the LT 1. Tip along the way: Wilhelm Busch was one of the most important humorous poets in Germany and is still considered one of the forefathers of comics today because of his satirical picture stories in verse. For over 50 years from 1846 to 1897, he was a frequent visitor to his uncle, Pastor Georg Kleine, in Lüthorst. Since the beginning of the year, the entire park has been under new management. Very professional and customer-oriented. A lot has improved. Among other things, the restaurant is popular; it is now run by the new operator. External bathers are a thing of the past, the lake is exclusively for campers. There is even a beaver now resident, but he keeps his distance from the bathers. His castle is at the end of the lake.
