The cross dedicated to Saint Barbara stands at an old sandstone quarry.

The charcoal burner's hut in the Hils is a beautifully designed rest area with indoor and outdoor seating, maintained by the Delligsen Local History Society. There's even a toilet (a forest toilet) available. 😉 The facility was built in 1972.

I thought the small children's charcoal burner's hut next to the large one was quite funny. 👍

Since autumn 2024 you can find stamp no. 20 of the Wilde Heimat hiking treasures here, the Köhlerhütte is a great resting place. The sign for the toilet is particularly funny. From here it is not far to the Barbarabaude.

The Barbara Cross and its lodge are a great excursion destination, the journey here is worth it. The lovingly designed shelter (lodge) is particularly beautiful. You will also find a lot of information and a lodge book here. Since autumn 2024, this place has also been stamp point 21 of the Wilde Heimat hiking treasures.

Great view in the middle of the 555 square kilometer Solling-Vogler Nature Park. In the low mountain range, which consists primarily of red sandstone, there are around thirty mountains, eight of which are over four hundred meters high. The view from the Ebersnacken Tower is even more impressive.
